Tree Talks Meetup

in West Slope

It brings Brooke Bachelor great joy to host our next Treekeepers meetup in a different part of unincorporated Washington County! Come take this opportunity to build community with your tree-loving neighbors in a backyard oasis. On the agenda: Joanne Delmonico will discuss Washington County’s Board of Commissioners (its structure, how to testify, etc) and the CPO (Citizens Participation Organization) which is intended to be our liaison between the county and its residents and serves as the conduit for development information. Bring your ideas about neighborhood trees and help shape plans for up-coming projects in the area. Tea will be available, and you are also welcome to bring a beverage of your own to enjoy.

Raleigh Park Tree Walk

Join neighbors Betsy Ubiergo and Brooke Bachelor for an “awe walk” as we visit key “mother trees” in the lovely Raleigh Park neighborhood. We’ll share information about the healing energy of forest bathing and how spending time with trees can positively impact our physical and mental health. Please join us for this relaxing 1 hour/ 1 mile loop walk. Come see your neighborhood through new eyes. Start at the West Slope Community Library.

Get to know your tree-loving neighbors and build community. Bring a chair, a beverage and, if you like, something to grill. And if we're lucky, we'll be able to visit with the next-door llamas!

Street Tree Inventories

Street tree inventories are a special way to hug trees! Help us map, measure and identify trees in the public right of way. This information is the first step to knowing how to protect and maintain our trees. Find out more about what we do here, and register below to get fresh air and exercise, meet like-minded neighbors, learn more about trees, and help the environment. No experience is necessary. Upcoming dates:

  • Friday, September 22, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Bethany

Volunteer for Summer Outreach

Do you enjoy the energy, colors, and aromas of farmers markets? Join us in Aloha, Cornelius, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, or Beaverton to spread the word about our county's trees. See the looks of surprise on folks who learn how few protections our county's trees have — and share information about how we are working to change that! You don't need extensive knowledge of trees or Treekeepers.. Just enthusiasm for trees. You'll be paired with someone from Treekeepers. Upcoming dates:

  • Saturday, September 23, Beaverton, 8:30 am -1:30 pm

  • Sunday, September  24, Cedar Mill Cider Festival
