Giant sequoia
by Westin Boyd
This large tree, towering to over twice the height of its neighboring house, is nothing short of majestic. I can easily visualize the sheer amount of carbon dioxide it sequesters from the atmosphere! It fills me with hope that this tree was left standing while the surrounding houses were built, as it proves that construction does not explicitly warrant the removal of large trees. Additionally, I deeply admire how the owners of this house were able to embrace this tree by fashioning it into an enjoyable swing set for children.
